Dear Diary,
I was elated to hear tt we were going to go for the Macdonalds Talk Series again! The last time we heard Mr Steven Chia from Prime Time Morning on Channel News Asia talk about entrepreneurs and stuffs, it was awe-inspiring. Today, we have Mr Clinton Ang, the President of a famous Wine Company (so famous until I also dunno wad name) to come speak to us. We arrived SUPER early at 2pm when the talk was to start at 4pm. If not for my phone I think I would have died there and then. I was too tired to walk so I didn't follow Dhurga and the rest to walk around doing some shopping (Women! Sigh!) So I sat at the staircase there and listen to Radio. 5 mins into the broadcast and I'm dying. Changed to the music in my playlist but didn't last for long. And after a while I was bored. Sat there and decided to watch Johnny English (again) it helped kill a lot of time and I was greatful for it.
When the girls were finally back, they carry wif them dunno how many bags of NTUC 'grocery'. We sat down and we (ok, mayb I) felt tt Mr Ang (eh, my surname also leh) had this crowd-pulling tatic tt was so effective. He glued us (ok fine! me) to his speech and spoke wif fluent English, frequently bombarding us wif Proverbs like 'Make Hay while the Sun Shines' & 'Jack of all trades, Master of none'. After the talk, we got to eat free Macdonalds. Yay!
Left and reached home, spent quite a long time there finding the place when we almost went into the Immigration Point (Forgot to mention, the talk was held near Woodlands Point), Ulu pandan place, take Bus 897 then went to MRT and transfered to Circle Line.
Currently resting and trying to absord everything tt he had preach. Powerful speaker, literally!
