Dear Diary,
2009 is coming to an abrupt end as we usher in 2010. I hate the mood of New Year Countdowns, especially Singapore ones. The Countdown Party at Marina Bay was awful, no offense though. I know Singapore's standard is like _____ compared to America but still at least produce a decent bang to usher in the new year right? Now we know why PM Lee Hsien Loong didn't come for the celebrations: he's better off playing Five Stones wif his wife at home. Personally I dun think there's a need to celebrate every new year wif these type of major events, there're juz wasting resources and time. Both of which are vitally important. Sorry for becoming the Grinch, but these are real facts. Btw, the News @ 9.30pm was terrible; the coordination and the live report. Omg
I shan't criticize anymore, if not I might get sue-ed lol. Go watch the Channel 8 one. Much better (Dun say I dun compliment and only criticize)

Looking back at 2009, I have come a long way, but still a long way to go too. Passing through obstacles after obstacles. Solving disputes and controversies, hearing rumours and spreading jokes, creating phrases (morning!) and utilizing them. The setbacks and persistency tt I had, the sorrows, hardships and pain, happiness, enthusiasm and solace. But, I still thank God for everything he has done thus far. ALL GLORY TO GOD!

2009 is a year wif mixed feelings, a concotion wif all types of postive and negative events all fused together. Thus, overflowing eventually.
Cheers to 2010, *fingers crossed*

Dear Diary,
Sec 1 Orientation (Day 2)
Hectic like mad; Mentally drained of energy.
Came to school and first things first: head for Council Room. Went in, NO LIGHTS! Wth?!? I was like err... is this faulty or is it juz me? Then Nafia told me and I realised tt both Council Room & PE Storage room blackout. Probably because Mr Principal didn't pay for the electricity bill for tt particular part of the school (everywhere else was working fine) or a short circuit. I suspect the former :D
Lishan didn't come today. Cheh, she said she had cough & sore throat then had to eat medicine and if she were to stand too long she'll fall asleep. So she's excused, for now. Shahiran went to help his CCA, Hockey and Sinhalese dunno disappear until where. All MIA mayb because of the horror tt the Sec 1s gave to us; this is the psychological aftermath of dealing wif small kids. Nala helped me tour them around the various CCAs. They were walking as slow as ever again (they seriously dunno wad is 'can you hurry up' ), blur and in a daze. At least they played one game amongst themselves: 'why-dun-you-go-first'. How to play? Simple! You juz stand there and wait for others to move first, if not you lose. So, everyone stands around waiting for some soul to step forward. Wad a game to play -.-
And you know wad? Choir doesn't accept boys anymore! Apparently because there're too few boys to form a strong A cappella. The current boys do logistics. Wad a boring job, Pss: Choir's becoming more sexist. After the tour, the sec 1s were told to sit according to their desired CCA. No surprises: the Sports sector -Basketball/Hockey/Netball flooded wif ppl. There were like 30++ ppl PER CCA. And the best thing is they only accept 16 peeps each. So the others can go home, not literally. Red Cross had 5 pathetic souls; I tried to persuade others but they say they're better off doing Sports.
The boy which I detested along wif his two faithful comrades pissed me off to no end again. Even Nala (Council Bouncer xD) couldn't handle them. Hate them! Roar!
During our break, Nala started showing off her MJ Collection (newspaper cuttings of him) in a super big file tt Dhurga mistook for our Chem ring file. She showed it off to Yi Er & Preeshela. Heh, they still seem REAL interested. Probably juz entertaining Nala and giving her false hope indirectly of course. Lots of controversies happened; ppl not present, logistics not ready, Ms Heng disappeared at the most crucial part.
Anyway, we had bonding games wif the Sec 1s (it was worse than anticipated, real worse!) Each class is allocated to a random classroom on the ground floor. We took Mdm Chye's homeroom, and at the last minute Dhurga was asked to give a speech in the hall. Which puts me in charge, apart from Iky. At first it was fine, playing games wif them although the 3 musketeers were still fooling around, then it overshot the time. The talk wasn't over yet, so Ms Heng gave orders through me to ask all councillors to entertain them for at least half an hour! Anyway, to cut the long story short, every class had a few naughty ones regardless of stream. I felt as though 1A an express class, was akin to a Normal Tech, no offense though. They behave like tt and I AM stereotyping.
Then Ms Low asked me to run some errands tt left me exhausted running from class to class. Then parents started to come in at impromptu intervals; they started asking for their child and some loitered around finding the classes. The ushers didn't know where to direct them cause the classes were at random and not in any order. So I had to direct each parent to the respective classes. Some of the parents were unhappy saying tt we weren't punctual in releasing their kids, oh please! We had no choice, we're already struggling trying to handle 30 kids at one go. Anyway, it's not OUR decision, it's Ms Heng's. We were told to only release them after she gives the queue. Oya, did I mention SOMEONE went around like a big boss going into the classrooms (WITHOUT knocking the door) and asking stupid questions like, everything ok? I'm here to check and I'll have to go soon. I still got lots of stuff to scrutinise (I changed the words, I dun think he knows how to use these words anyway) and I still have to go and check the 3 councillors upstairs if they need any assistance. I was like (in my mind obviously), who asked you to do this? Did anyone order you to walk around and poke your nose into everyone's business? NO, so _____ and get back to entertaining your class.
Oh God, I'm gonna write a thesis already. Anyway, we ended and Ms Heng thanked us making me feel alittle better. And at the end of the day, the councillors were cursing away, angry and pissed. Wad has happened to the future generation of sec 1s?
We still had to place all the equipment back into the PE room which had no lights. Uh! I used my camera lights ^^
Yi Er was about to leave when Mui Ping said tt there were 6 Basketball boys from our school waiting for her. (Apparently, they all like her; wad a coincidence heh.) I also want luh: 6 girls waiting for me lol. But, she doesn't like them and so our Council Bouncer had to escort her out of the school. Mui Ping suggested getting a guy to walk by her side. Then I was like the only guy there and I went : me la. Of course, who else! Joking of course. Budden they weren't there anymore. Also dunno why. Mayb I got some super power ^^
Anyway, why am I crapping around.

Dear Diary,
Sec 1 Orientation (Day 1).
Ms Heng asked us to come at 6.45AM for a briefing and it only started at 7.00++
*Claps*
Some of the Sec 1s came in super early, I think they assumed tt our school gives them free gift for being exquisitely punctual. The faces of those Sec 1s showed no expressions and emotions. They were as quiet as ever (expected) and in their own Neverland.

I took 1A wif Lishan, Shahiran (idk how to spell Malay names!) & Sinhalese.
Idk how Shahiran took attendance, take until ppl missing (Miss Sin lol)

Ms Heng taught the new Sec 1s to clap 11 times. Not at random but wif rhythm. Then Ms Heng
asked for volunteers. Obvious my first reaction was: NALA! Then she was like WAD LA!
Iky (tsk) also went out. Together wif her (her as in Nala, not Iky, although it will satisfy my heart if he were a girl). I sabo-ed her again! (:
But! It backfired, apparently Ms Heng called the Vice President & President to come out too.
When we were out, they introduced our position and names. Then we were told to teach them how to clap (retarded) and they were suppose to mimick our actions. Iky tt drama queen (king) proudly said without a blink of an eye: I dunno how to do. Then he _______. You make us think tt you have either have a low IQ or you're playing a fool. I'm thinking both.
We toured them (Sec 1s) around the school and their reactions were all like _____. They were walking aimlessly around and like in a trance. They were slow both mentally and physically. Then Sinhalese also very blur, from behind keep coming in front to me, like I've got some attraction power. Moreover, we didn't play games wif them . Cause Mr Chia & Ms Heng trailed on talking all day. We gonna have Day 2 tmr. Hope they at least bond a little. I think I rather play 5 stones wif my Grandmother. (Btw, after I typed this, Popo actally called our phone LOL) Talking to them is akin to conveying to the living dead.

Btw, Lishan got bullied by one of the Sec 1s, which I personally detest. (So suay, first day) He said she was short and gl her la. At least she's clever enough to ignore him. I have a feeling he likes her; anyway, it's an absurd chemistry, given the amount of interaction both of them have. They hardly even talked. But at least I know my glares are working, there's something wif my eyes (not cataract ah), it has the power to make ppl listen (dun debate about this)

And one of the Sec 1 students was Huishan's brother: Ong Chee Chai.
From wad I personally feel, they should more or less feel tt today is a sombre and mundane day. If they were to think tt as a normal school day when school reopens (speaking of which, uhh!) then we would have paralysed them wif fear even b4 school actually reopens (UHH!)

I'm sure if you were to privately juz pick any student at random and ask them: how they felt about today's Orientation. An obvious answer would be: Boring.
Short and sweet ^^

Dear Diary,
Recently I have been watching lots of movies. Mad liao lol.
Today we watched Sherlock Holmes. Another really nice movie. Wif all the detective work and all those secretive conspiracies and action. I like Holmes' eyes, they glitter at night.
The whole plot was cleverly twisted and portrayed.

Btw, have you heard? (not herd of cows ah) Sezairi won SI (Singapore Idol) It is reported in the newspaper tt many ppl were upset wif the SI Results. Bunch of idiots, now you cry.You whimper cause Sylvia didn't get in. Now I'm asking you, whose fault is it? YOURS! Who didn't vote (enough)? YOU! IF you say tt she should have won, oh Sylvia has more of the X Factor. You can't read my expression now though, if not, this will really speak to you. The decision lies in the fans. If you complain and rant, why didn't you vote more? Personally, I dun bother who ever wins cause SI has a long way to go compared to AI. Go out there and make yourself useful to the society ppl. Sitting down there and juz voting doesn't earn you big bucks $.$ and neither does it do you any good. No one said tt voting 100 times for your Idol (in your eyes) will make you eligible to date them out, or get their phone number. Dream on Singapore.
The Cool Cat aka Geek won period.

Dear Diary,
Watched Avatar today at Lido Cineplex, the Shaw House. I know la; it came out long ago; I'm very slow. I always wait until very long release then watch. The show was super cool can. All the special effects and the music, the Na'vi's forest and the military machinery. It was boomz. James Cameron did it again; another hit from his other previous films like Titanic. It is said tt he thought for 15 years on the plot and scripts and took at least 5 years to produce it. Imagine tt, how all tt hard work paid off. On the day of release itself, it managed to garner USD 40 million dollars! Crazy one; I work for my whole life and mayb even afterlife also still can't earn so much.

The movie alone won many awards thus far, juz by opening for a few days.
Give credit when it's due, and the show deserves it. So much for naked smurfs walking around.

MERRY CHRISTMAS 09!

Christmas in Church at the newly open Sanctuary at Level 2. The place was boomz; and the Christmas Carols were super cool. Enjoyed the service.
Sleepover at Jy's house again. This time for real. Heather didn't come, heh. They had some Band Hero thingy played wif the Nintendo Wii; I rocked at it luh. At night we watched Naked Gun. LOL
At first sight, it looks kindda obscence. But it's a comedy cum action-packed dectective show. Jy's Mom also had shows on her laptop. Heh, another Movie fanatic's dream.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all, a good night (:

Dear Diary,
It's Christmas Eve people! We had two Christmas Parties running simultaneously: William's Place and Aunty Sherman's. We didn't go for the former cause Mom was late (as usual) Ever since Aunty Sherman shifted house, the place was a little more compact but nonetheless, they had another <3 Dog, a Golden Retriver bought from Ebay. And the Christmas Dinner was sumptuous, especially the Ribs (sorry not Halal lol)
Surprisingly, Samuel & Sarah's Father had 101 Movies inside his com. It was practically like a movie fanatic's dream to have something like tt. We watched Cloudy wif a chance of Meatballs & Planet 51. Both of them were equally nice and it was comical altogether. Sarah taught me the Art of Catching (you know the Sky Catcher at Arcades where you pick up soft toys?) It is told tt Bishan J8's Arcade all con ppl one. They pick up the toy and b4 hand releases the grip causing it to be an epic failure. Some of them has a violent and abrupt stop tt also causes the toy, wif the help of Physics (gravity; so much for Ms Sin lol) to fall back into the arena.
During the gift exchange, we managed to get a remote control car and some Body shop lotion in which I have no use of it. At 12am, I sent out Christmas Greetings like any other year. This time, the greetings crashed, probably cause I mass sent 30++ ppl. Thanks a lot Starhub.

* Star like star bright... *

Unexpected shot of Darren

Dear Diary,
Sec 1 Registration, hooray! We got to wear blazers today, but the freaking air con wasn't on! So it was hot like ______. Looking at the Sec 1s' faces, I can't stop having flashbacks of when I was one of these innocent goody-two-shoes Sec 1 student, afraid of even approaching anyone. A green horn at tt time, not knowing wad is wad and the times where we felt as though there was a moat to separate the sexes: Boys and girls sticking to themselves and being anti social to the opposite gender. The times where school talks were meant to spur us on to new heights of patriotic endeavour, the propaganda ship and wad nots.

I was in charge of 1E together wif Xiu Quan. We were told to repeat the same thing to every parent: "Hi welcome to... Our school books... The CCAs our school offers gives..."
I felt much like a voice recorder or some faulty radio tt keeps repeating the same phrases over and over again. We had comical times too (Xiu Quan turned to the mother of a student and said, 'can I have your mother's number?') and Xiu Quan looks at the child when he talks to the parents aka pedophile. And one thing we also realised, our Chinese suck. The parents look stun as though we were speaking in a foreign language or sth. For Sec 1 Orientation, I'm gonna take over 1A. Juz you wait...

We went to 313@ Somerset to watch a performance by a French Cirque (Circus) Super cool can, the stuns were like World Class performances and we got to watch it for free; so much for the Singaporean mentality. Went wif Nicholas & Jodi too. We toured round Orchard.

Dear Diary,
Didn't know band concert was actually the Band's Investiture. Went into the hall and expected like some drastic changes and stuffs. And it was _______. The place was as crap as b4. I didn't realise the stage was revamped until Fadilah asked me how the new stage looked. The place was crappy as usual; so much for Theatre. It brought the word 'Theatre' down. The seats were plastic chairs (heh, life in plastic, it's fantastic!) Thankfully the air con was on. Heard quite a number of off-key (zhao xia, correct nots ah) Overall, still acceptable.

☻☻☻☺☺ If you can't comprehend, it's 3 out of 5 btw. Juz so you know!
Speaking of a particular person makes my blood boil inside out, upside down. Why can't you shingz off man. YOU sir, aren't helping out. You're juz a figurehead btw. Attracting attention. Is tt wad you do best? How about irritating ppl? I think you specialise in tt too. Yup, you I guess, are an all-rounder: for all the bad traits tt is. You're good at everything tt we detest. Your acting is much appreciated somewhere else. Somewhere away from us; pls dun screw this up. I can't believe I'm working wif you. You being less annoying will make things way better, although I dun think there'll be any drastic changes to our discussions. Dun think you call the shots and assume tt you have all the authority in the world. Hitler and Mao Zhe Dong owns all (sorry no link lol) You'll still have to seek permission from the head. Your antics are disturbing; pls dun spoil the school's reputation. We're already at the last straw.

Wad can I say? It's all up to you now. Leave? Nah, you wouldn't do tt after all you would want to keep your authority. Being an extra and nothing else, tt's your speciality.
Do us all a favour and Shingz off will you? You're spoiling the Christmas Spirit.

Dear Diary,
A school uniform is an outfit —a set of standardized clothes, they form the basis of a school's dress code.
Taken from wikipedia, dun sue me pls lol.
Izzt so hard juz to get every student to wear the school's dress code prim and properly? I dun see the harm of pulling down your skirts & pulling up your socks. Then why are you doing it the other way round? If you wanna change the golden rules, go confront the government OR establish your own school. Go, no one's stopping you. If you can find sponsors then I dun have anything to say. If not, pls shut your gap and juz follow the law.
Teachers dun pick on you (attire-wise) if you meet all the school attire's criteria. They've got better things to do like vomiting blood after reading your essays.
Juz because you have short skirts doesn't mean you're popular. Yes, mayb popular in a bad way; notorious more likely.
For God's sake, dun fold your skirts; God's eyes are blinding.

THE CRASHING
Coming to cinemas near you!
Dear Diary,
Went to Jiaying's house for 'sleepover', Heather you heard tt? Cheh, why is your life so full of disputes & controversies. Anyway, Darren had a photo shoot today; and he didn't go. Apparently they selected him to model for some Milk Powder advertisement. (No melamine; dun worry.) Take a few shots and earn 180 bucks; even a fool will go and pose. He rejected the offer, gave stupid reasons like I dun wanna be famous, 180 dollars only, heh like you very rich. Also not like asking you to post nude in front of National TV and shown on National Geographic Channel.
Darren doesn't know to catch, hand and eye cannot coordinate. I sympathise wif Mao Zhe Dong, apparently we christen a green fluffy ball wif tt name. Now it's completely obliterated. Rain stopped us from going to the playground and playing the swing :( Aww,I was looking forward to it...

Chalet ended, period.
How was it? Mix feelings amongst themselves. Mood swings and all those misconceptions; I'm getting sick of them.

Didn't bother to take pictures; cause the place wasn't the 'heaven' I was expecting. And I dun cam whore. Seriously, Singapore's standard of theme parks are borderline. The bolts from the rides can easily pulled out.
Anyway, I managed to galvanise the bed for the two days :D

PS: Are midnight ghost stories & shows THAT scary. Personally, there's nothing to be afraid of; I can kick the ghost in the nuts effortlessly. Chancery screamed when someone was at the door. Turned out to be the Management team. Heh.

Anyway, I think I'm one of the last ppl to watch 2012. Sorry la, I slow wad. It was damn cool I tell you; the story line, the music, the acting was boomz! Even though the show was 2.5 hours I sat there watching! Not gonna post a critic's review though. When we went out of the cinema, it was 11.30 pm and the whole place was dark (J8 btw)

Dear Diary,

Today was NTUC Used Textbooks donation day for all NTUC Union members. Our school was chosen as one of the 5 centres to help out in this movement to help those needy students save on textbooks donated by the public. Woah, after saying all these, I feel like a philanthropist ^^

See how magnanimous I am wif words! Anyway, cut the crap. I was stationed at the counter wif Ganesh; heh. Quite fun la, although I said it and I'll say it again: Volunteerism is for losers who have nothing better to do than to dedicate their time to help others when they themselves require more extensive help. And I still mean it. So much for a sense of gratification & all those crap talk about doing your share in the society...

Btw, our school got featured on News 5 at 9.30pm for all you ppl who watch news. (PS: I despise ppl who dun watch news, and then ask lots of questions)

And Gopal got his 1 sec of fame on TV. Well done Mr Principal. I assume you'll be rewinding tt glory moment again & again; even mass producing them to give out to us.
