Dear Diary,
27th Feb at 06:34:14 UTC offshore of Maule, Chile was struck by a 8.8 magnitude tt caught the world off guard. Wah, I'm impressing myself wif statistics; somehow I think tt writing knowledgeable sentences make you seem wise. ^^
As you know, the recent Haiti also sent shock waves around the globe. This seismic quake had a great magnitude but ironically, lesser damage and death toll. It was partially because Chile had past encounters of Earthquakes and therefore had stood ground, building quake-proof buildings and increased their vigilance level and emergency awareness.
Woo~ I DO seem wise! :D
Anyway, I feel for Chile, really. Because you see ah (sorry about the Singlish lol), ever since Haiti was struck, monetary aid and troops had been deployed to help tt disaster-stricken area, and lots of moneh was received from all around the world. Now Chile, and everyone doesn't have the mood already and also bo liu (no moneh $.$) . Lol, akin to once bitten twice shy.
The mentality, first time: Aiya, donate la, so poor thing. Second time: Aiyo! Donate already, donate again for wad?
Chile is stuck in a sticky situation. They needed to rebuild but the world isn't really ready to donate MASSIVE amounts of resources and moneh anymore. Let's juz pray tt God will send his providence & protection over the ppl there.
Do your best and let God do the rest, I hope tt is wad the world is thinking.
